Aid at D3 schools comes through academic merit and need based packages, and D3 coaches often recruit later in the cycle than D1 programs. Colby-Sawyer College ranks in the lower part of its division by Massey rank, so a prepared recruit who follows up is more likely to get a direct look than at a top ranked program.
