How the quiz scores you

Club level, role, regional or national team experience, speed, and coach replies add up to an athletic score. That score picks the primary division. Grades, test scores, budget, geography, and graduation year do not change the primary result but they add or reorder the divisions you should also consider, and each adjustment is explained on the result page. There are no hidden weights: MLS NEXT and ECNL count most, a starter role adds two points, national team experience adds three, and below average speed subtracts one.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is a division fit quiz for college soccer?
It is a starting point, not a verdict. The quiz weighs the same signals coaches use in a first look: club level, role, outside validation like ODP or national team camps, speed, and how many coaches have already replied. It cannot see your film, so treat the result as the center of your target list and include programs one level up and one level down.
Why does the quiz ask about grades and budget?
Because they change which divisions are realistic regardless of soccer ability. D3 has no athletic scholarships, so a family that needs athletic money should keep D2 and NAIA on the list. A high GPA opens academic merit aid at selective D3 schools that can exceed a partial athletic scholarship elsewhere.

Does the quiz work for both boys and girls soccer?
Yes. The club level options cover MLS NEXT, ECNL, Girls Academy, NPL, state leagues, and high school only. The weighting is identical, and the result links to division hubs that list both men's and women's programs.
What should I do with the result?
Open the division hub for your primary result, filter to states you would attend, and build a list of 30 to 50 programs across your primary division and the also consider divisions. Then start emailing coaches with a short, specific message and your highlight video.
