Long Island University Women's Soccer Recruiting

Start with Jim O'Brien, the head coach. Long Island University carries a larger women's soccer staff, with 5 assistant coaches listed beside the head coach. On staffs this size recruiting is usually split, so address the head coach and include the assistant most likely to run recruiting.

As general context, NCAA Division I is the highest level of college soccer. D1 programs may offer athletic scholarships, and most D1 rosters are largely settled a year or more before a recruiting class enrolls. Because Long Island University is unrated, do not assume the roster is easy to make; write the first email the same way you would for a ranked program and ask the staff how they see the recruiting class.

Long Island University is a private mid sized school on a suburban campus with about 5,520 undergraduates. At a mid sized school the women's soccer staff typically works with admissions but does not control it, so have your transcript ready when a coach asks. The acceptance rate is 85 percent, and the middle SAT range is 1110 to 1350, so include your grades and any test scores in the first message.
