Recruiting inside the West Coast Conference

Programs in the same conference recruit against each other for the same kinds of players, so a conference is a useful unit for building a target list: if one West Coast Conference coach shows interest, its peer programs are often a realistic fit too. Members are spread across 3 states, which shapes travel and where coaches scout. Coaches in one conference tend to attend the same regional showcases and ID camps, which means a strong performance at one event can reach several of these staffs at once. 19 of the 20 programs listed here have a head coach on record in our data.
